DESCRIPTION
The Swiss Plateau resembles a more than 200-kilometre-long green strip stretching from Lake Geneva in the southwest to Lake Constance in the northeast. The fertile plateau is located at 500 to 600 metres above sea level. It is bordered to the north by the Jura chain on the one hand and to the south by the Alpine ridge on the other.
